About Two Rivers

After a two-year spiritual sabbatical that deepened their healing practices, Brian and Pamela Grosam have returned to Minnesota with renewed purpose and vision. Together they’ve created Two Rivers Acupuncture, Yoga & Sound Healing — a sanctuary for holistic wellness, balance, and transformation.
Where Two Rivers Meet: Two Rivers was born from the confluence of two healing paths — the ancient wisdom of Eastern medicine and the intuitive flow of energy, sound, and spirit.
Like two rivers merging into one, Brian and Pamela bring together decades of experience, knowledge, and soul work to create a current of deep transformation. Their practices — one rooted in classical Chinese medicine, the other in intuitive and energetic healing — flow together in harmony, nourishing all who enter their space.
At Two Rivers, you’ll find a unique blend of offerings: Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Shiatsu, Reiki, Intuitive Healing, Sound Therapy, and Channeling, along with Gentle Flow, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. Specialty workshops such as Yoga & Oils for Emotional Healing and immersive Sound Journeys — from Gong Meditations to Gong Yoga Nidra — invite you to reconnect, realign, and remember the healing wisdom that flows within you.
Brian:
Dr. Brian Grosam earned his PhD in Acupuncture in 2009 from the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he completed clinical studies in gynecology and neurology. His dissertation focused on the effects of acupuncture treatment on menopausal symptoms, laying the foundation for what would become his lifelong specialty.
His journey into Chinese medicine began years earlier, inspired by Pamela, an expert in Shiatsu Anma Therapy and Tuina. As Pamela transformed their family’s lifestyle through wellness practices, Brian’s curiosity quickly grew into passion. That passion carried him from earning his Master’s degree at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Minnesota to uprooting his family—two young sons included—to live, study, and work in China for nearly three years.
During that time, Brian worked at the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine’s teaching hospital, immersing himself in acupuncture, tuina, gynecology, and neurology by day while studying Chinese language by night. The experience was as challenging as it was rewarding, and it deepened both his knowledge and his commitment to the medicine.
After returning to Minnesota, he taught acupuncture at AAAOM from 2008–2015 and, together with Pamela, opened Sun Acupuncture, where they practiced for more than a decade. In 2022, they sold the clinic and embarked on a two-year sabbatical, during which Brian treated patients at a small private practice in Mexico. Those years offered both renewal and inspiration, and now he and Pamela are beginning a new chapter with Two Rivers.
Brian is the author of Understanding and Treating Hot Flashes in Menopause with Chinese Medicine—the first book ever written on the subject—where he integrates classical Chinese medical theory with modern scientific frameworks to create a contemporary approach to hot flashes. He has lectured internationally, published articles, and taught continuing education courses on menopause, hot flashes, and Chinese medicine.
He is a member of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and a member of the North American Menopause Society.
At the heart of his work, Dr. G values the exchange that happens in every treatment: “The patient benefits, and I benefit by receiving knowledge and experience in return.” His practice is not only about needles and techniques, but about building connection, integrity, and trust—principles that he and Pamela bring to every patient who walks through their clinic doors.
Pamela:
Mystic healer, sound alchemist and intuitive guide with nearly 30 years of experience in the healing arts. Pamela has woven a path that blends ancient wisdom with soul-led practices to support deep healing, spiritual connection and embodied remembrance. She began her journey through Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine and over the years her work has expanded to include Yoga, Sound Healing, Reiki, Crystal Therapy, Tai Chi, Raindrop Therapy with essential oils, and Intuitive channeling. Each modality has brought her closer to the heart of her purpose; helping others remember who they are on a soul level.
Pamela offers one on one healing sessions that may include Sound healing, Reiki, Shiatsu, Tuina and Intuitive channeling, intuitively tailored to each individual.
Affectionately known as “The Sound Gypsy,” Pamela travels across the Twin Cities offering monthly group sound immersions in a variety of spaces. Each journey is unique, sometimes aligned with the energy of the moon cycles, sometimes paired with restorative yoga and often guided purely by spirit. Most recently, angelic guidance has led her to begin offering Sacred Sound Immersions not simply for relaxation but as portals to connect with spiritual guides, inner knowing and the higher self. Through the energy of crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and intuitive voice, she creates a sacred space for deep release, remembrance and soul activation.
Pamela is an E-RYT Yoga instructor with over 600 hours of training and is a YACEP approved teacher trainer. She teaches Gentle flow, Yin and Restorative Yoga both online and in person. In 2024 Pamela founded and launched Acu Meridi-Yin Yoga, a fusion of Yin Yoga and acupressure rooted in meridian theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These in-person trainings are approved by the Yoga Alliance, with an 18 hour Yin Yoga certification and a 22 hour Acu Meridi-Yin Yoga certification. She also hosts transformational retreats for women and recently birthed Sisters of the Healing Drum, a sacred circle for women to gather in rhythm, healing, and shared remembrance.
