What is Raindrop Therapy?
The Raindrop Technique is a powerful and deeply rejuvenating healing modality that blends the ancient wisdom of essential oils with the therapeutic benefits of massage. Designed to bring balance and harmony to the body; physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Raindrop Technique uses pure, high-grade essential oils applied along the spine and feet to promote detoxification, realignment, and overall wellness. The Raindrop Technique was developed by Dr. Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, as a method to support the body's natural healing processes through a combination of aromatherapy, massage, and reflexology.
Essential oils are gently dispensed like raindrops from about six inches above the spine—hence the name—then feathered into the skin using gentle strokes, followed by targeted massage to enhance absorption and therapeutic effect.
This technique isn’t just relaxing, it’s rooted in science and tradition. Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts that have been used for centuries across cultures for their powerful healing properties. Each oil contains a complex mix of active compounds that can positively affect physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Raindrop technique is a natural, non-invasive way to support spinal health, reduce inflammation, and relieve stress. Whether you're dealing with chronic back pain, fatigue, stress, or simply looking for a holistic way to restore balance in your life, Raindrop Therapy may offer the relief and renewal you're seeking.

What to Expect During a Session
A Raindrop session can be done in 60 minutes or for a deeper experience, 90 minutes is recommended. You’ll begin the treatment lying face-up for an initial grounding and relaxation phase where the oils are applied to the feet. Then, you’ll turn face-down and essential oils are applied along your spine and feet in a specific sequence, using light feathering motions and massage. In a 90 minute session, we conclude with you lying face-up again, leaving you feeling balanced and restored. Many clients report feeling lighter, more relaxed, and even experiencing emotional release after a session.
While the treatment is generally safe and well-tolerated, it’s important to note that essential oils are highly concentrated. Some individuals with sensitive skin may experience irritation or discomfort. If you’ve had skin reactions to oils or other substances in the past, be sure to let your practitioner know prior to your session.
